Whoever lives by the truth comes into the light

elycapdc

These grey, cold days of winter seem to be dragging on this year, but there are signs of spring with snowdrops and daffodils emerging to add a splash of colour and lighten our mood. Sometimes our lives can be like this, smothered in a grey cloud of despair which is hard to penetrate let alone disperse. Sometimes it can be hard to let the light in as it can expose the things that we have been hiding from ourselves and others.

John 3: 20 - 21 (NIV)

20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

It can be hard to shine that light into our lives, but there is truth and healing in God's light, a strength to acknowledge what we need to change and the power to start making those changes. God's light is a beacon of love and truth, helping us to face ourselves not in condemnation but in love and salvation.

John 3: 16 - 17 (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

In the book of Acts, the early Christian's were known as followers of The Way, followers of Jesus who is the Way the Truth and the Life. By living in the truth of His love and following His Way, by sharing His love and helping to shine His light for those that we meet, we can join in His work of salvation.

Prayer

Please pray for Fiona, our Community Links Coordinator who is busy spreading the knowledge of CAP to local Social Prescribers and other organisations to help reach out to those in our communities who need the help that CAP can offer with their debt problems. Pray for John and Pat our debt coaches and the visit team as they bring the practical help of the journey out of debt to our clients as well as carrying the light and knowledge of God's love into their lives. Pray for head office as they work on improving systems and strategy to continue and strengthen the work of CAP in practical debt and financial help while walking alongside those in need.

Please pray for the Money Coaching team as they prepare for the next course starting in March, pray for all those in our community struggling with finances, that this may be the help and support that they are looking for.
