I've always longed to live in a place like this

It is lovely to see the swifts return this week to nest and raise their young in St. Mary's church tower - God's home is a beautiful home, it is a place of celebration, safety and abundance.

Psalm 84: 1 - 7 (MSG)

84 1-2 What a beautiful home,

God-of-the-Angel-Armies!

I’ve always longed to live in a place like this,

Always dreamed of a room in your house,

where I could sing for joy to God-alive!

3-4 Birds find nooks and crannies in your house,

sparrows and swallows make nests there.

They lay their eggs and raise their young,

singing their songs in the place where we worship.

God-of-the-Angel-Armies! King! God!

How blessed they are to live and sing there!

5-7 And how blessed all those in whom you live,

whose lives become roads you travel;

They wind through lonesome valleys, come upon brooks,

discover cool springs and pools brimming with rain!

God-traveled, these roads curve up the mountain, and

at the last turn—Zion! God in full view!

And it is not just us dwelling in God's home, but He dwelling in us, us walking God's path and our lives becoming God's path. The path may be lonesome and rocky at times but there is refreshment and beauty around the corner and God walking alongside every step of the way.

By bringing the love of Jesus with them in to the homes of our Ely and District CAP clients, our debt coaches and visit team help bring a knowledge of that ever-present, ever-loving companion on the road. Life may be rocky and hard at the moment, but there is rest and refreshment ahead.

Please pray for all our clients, especially for one this week who has been unable to keep five or six appointments so far, that the team would have patience to keep trying and that they would have the courage to be able to open their door and together help get onto a better path.
