Those who Discover these Words Live, Really Live

elycapdc

When facing a problem, trying to solve an issue, mend a broken relationship, break an addiction, it is important to know that change needs to be internal as well as external. We can't just change the outside without changing the inside as well to make a lasting difference. This can be the hardest thing to do, to face the causes within ourselves which have contributed to these issues. But we don't have to do this alone, with God's message of love in our hearts, we can be heart-healthy and strong to face whatever life may bring.

Proverbs 4: 20 - 22 (MSG)

20-22 Dear friend, listen well to my words;

tune your ears to my voice.

Keep my message in plain view at all times.

Concentrate! Learn it by heart!

Those who discover these words live, really live;

body and soul, they’re bursting with health.

This is why CAP's mission is so important, not just to help with the practical journey out of debt to help combat poverty and financial instability, but to help come alongside and support, to share the message of God's love and the strength and hope it can bring within to truly change lives.

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Prayer

Please pray for F, a new Ely and District CAP client who is a single man, sofa surfing and a drug addict. We are seeing more clients like F, who can be the hardest to help due to their unstable lives. Please pray for F and others like him, that the CAP journey out of debt and the message of hope that comes alongside it can help bring the light of hope to their whole life situation.

Please pray for C who is reaching out to CAP with a number of other problems alongside debt; broken relationships, tobacco addiction (which places huge pressure on stretched finances) as well as agoraphobia and anxiety. Please pray for C and for the work of the debt coaches and visit members supporting him and for the work of our Community Links Coordinator, Fiona, who is helping connect people like C to services, charities and organisations that can help contribute to coordinated support.

Please pray as well for head office, for CEO Stewart McCulloch and team working on CAP's strategic direction to help strengthen the provision of a service that walks alongside those living in poverty and debt as well as providing the support of practical debt help.

Money Coaching

Please pray for the Money Coaching team as they prepare for the next course starting in March, pray for all those in our community struggling with finances, that this may be the help and support that they are looking for.
