Sharing Burdens

It can be difficult for those suffering with financial worries, poverty and debt to confide in someone, leading to feelings of isolation even within a family if one member is reluctant to share their burden with the others. For those living on their own, it can be hard to know who to turn to. But we do not need to carry burdens alone or bottle up anxiety.
Philippians 4: 4 - 7 (NIV)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Loneliness can be a huge issue for our Ely and District CAP clients, can make it difficult to reach out and ask for help, some even too scared to answer the door or the phone, hiding any letters that may be bad news. But when they have the courage to reach out to the CAP team for help, they also open the door to the message of God's love, someone who is always alongside them and to whom they can freely share anything, someone who is peace and love, a guard for hearts and minds.
Being a part of the family of God is being a part of a community, all members using the gifts and skills that they have from God to strengthen and encourage one another, Whether they are asleep or awake to look out for and build up those in need so that no-one
needs to struggle alone.

1 Thessalonians 5: 9 - 11 (NIV)
9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
By reaching out to Ely and District CAP, our clients are members of that family and we also want to reach out to those who are still struggling to admit that they need help or lack the strength to ask, to help share the message of God's love with everyone in the CB6 and CB7 postcode areas. To help with one thing can help change a life.
Prayer
Please pray for all our Ely and District CAP Clients, especially for those who feel alone or unable to share their worries about debt. Pray that they would hear the message of God brought by the Ely and District CAP team, that they would know the presence of the One who is always there for them and to whom they can share anything.
Please pray for our debt coaches, John and Pat, and for the befrienders, for the hope, care and support that they bring to all our clients and for the empowering strength of the Spirit to face the different situations they meet.
Please pray for the work to increase knowledge in our communities of the help that Ely and District CAP can bring, and for all those in our communities working to uphold and walk alongside those in need.
