He is Risen!

Holy Week can be an emotional rollercoaster, moving from the Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, to the darkness of Good Friday, the fear of Easter Saturday and the joy of Easter Sunday.
Matthew 28: 5 - 6 (NIV)
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
For many people, such as many of our CAP clients, life is an emotional rollercoaster, living in the darkness of despair and grief, unable to see a way ahead. It can be hard to cry out for help in our anguish and put our lives and trust into God's loving hands. We should not keep quiet about the Easter message of Jesus' salvation, but should cry out so that all who hear may know His love in their lives, that He is someone who knows suffering, who suffers for us and with us and that the light of His love can shine even in the darkest places and situations.

Romans 14: 22-23 (MSG)
22-23 Cultivate your own relationship with God, but don’t impose it on others. You’re fortunate if your behavior and your belief are coherent. But if you’re not sure, if you notice that you are acting in ways inconsistent with what you believe—some days trying to impose your opinions on others, other days just trying to please them—then you know that you’re out of line. If the way you live isn’t consistent with what you believe, then it’s wrong.
Easter is a good time to take time and pause, to cultivate our own relationship with God and to let Him fill us up ready to do what we know is right. Jesus did not impose His ministry on anyone, but demonstrated His love through His life and actions and so should we. We should not act to please ourselves or others, to be so busy we forget who it is that we are serving, but to let our actions demonstrate our belief and carry the love of God to those living in darkness and fear.

Prayer
Please pray for all our clients over the Easter period, that this would be a chance for rest and refreshment and the strength to carry on through the Easter message of love and hope. Please pray for those struggling with debt or their finances, that there is a way forward, that they would hear about the CAP debt service and the Money Coaching Course, that these may be a signpost on the road to a brighter future.
Please pray for Pat and John, our debt coaches, that they would receive rest and refreshment over the Easter Holidays to be able to give so much love and care to each of our clients. Pray for our visit team and supporters, that they will carry the Easter message of Jesus' love and salvation to all who they meet. That all the team would have a chance to pause and let God fill us up with His empowering love to carry that love to all those who we meet through our lives and actions.
