Be Patient and Stand Firm

It can be hard to be patient in life, and especially in the face of suffering - modern life can be fast paced and we want a quick fix, to solve it now and move on. For our Ely and District CAP clients (and our debt coaches!) the wait while the busy head office team puts a debt solution into practice can seem long and frustrating, but it is wonderful when the message of debt freedom comes through. This time may seem longer than we may like, but it is also valuable time, time to build love and support and sow the seeds of God's kingdom for our clients.
James 5: 7 - 11 (NIV)
7 Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. 8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. 9 Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!
10 Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
We can't sit around and just wait for something to happen and lose patience, but we should stand firm, and persevere, value and use the time of preparation to be relational; to build our relationship with God and use that to grow our relationships with others so that they too can be ready to welcome God into their lives.

Please pray for the work of the Ely and District CAP team to get the message of the help that CAP can bring to those in our community who are suffering with the burdens of debt and financial worry.
Pray for our debt coaches and visit team, for the love and support that they bring and especially for the seed of knowledge that there is someone who can provide support, strength and compassion for the journey out of debt and beyond.
Pray for all our Ely and District CAP clients, especially for three more clients debt free this week, for all those who can be supported for a debt free future and for those waiting for their first visit to begin their own journeys out of debt and beyond.
Pray for the new Money Coaching course starting in November, that this will be a chance for those who are feeling financial pressure in our community to learn the skills and knowledge to better manage their finances.
